So this applies to me greatly this semester. With it being my last semester I am trying to juggle 19hrs of classes, 4 students, and one ground school class. In addition I am 150 hours short of my minimum 960 hours that I need by December. So, scheduling time for class work, flying, and other life activities is going to be a big undertaking. Looking at all of this I see that my biggest thing to avoid will be procrastination and my biggest killer, biting off more than I can chew. And looking at the article that I read from Business Insider's  11 Ways unsuccessful people mismanage their time  I think my biggest issue is that I cannot prioritize, and look at everything as urgent and has to be tackled right here and right now. Right off the bat there are a lot of resources and tools that are accessible for this class. Some I am familiar with such as Tumblr and GoogleDocs others I am unfamiliar with. The online environment for this class is unlike any other online course I have taken. Online courses usually utilize Canvas exclusively so it is interesting to see a different take on an online course. There seems like there is a good amount to do, however I think the Storytelling assignments will be interesting. The class is definitely structured completely different than any other class I have taken. But I think this reflects an online class perfectly. Prior to this assignment I had never heard of growth mindset. HOWEVER, I partake in the practice of growth mindset almost everyday without ever even knowing I was doing it. As a flight instructor not only do I partake in this but my students do as well. And we don't notice it. Every flight we push ourselves to be better and evolve our flying skills. Because lets be honest no pilot has ever said "I am the worlds most mediocre pilot and that's okay with me", I know this for a fact because every pilot has a big ego and we are all "the best pilot".  Let's use my flight students for example, I encourage them on every flight to push themselves to achieve and perform to higher standards because if you perform poorly and accept it you only hurt yourself. Hi my name is David Walsh! I am an Aviation Pro-Pilot major and I plan on graduating this December! The coolest thing about my major is that I get to fly airplanes almost everyday! I even got to fly OU's King Air which the university uses for flights to transport faculty and staff including Football players and coaches. I have always had a fascination of stories of individuals coming into power whether it is way back or or even in modern day. This topic is something that I have no familiarity with at all, and reading through it I picked up on a hint of a "Game of Thrones" vibe which further peaked my interest. The title lead me straight into what I was to expect which was nice.
